A busy day/ Un dia bien ocupado

A busy day…
1. Aida did kangaroo care twice today – once at noon and once late this evening. He handled it well both times.
2. The breathing tube was removed, so now he is on CPAP
3. All the wiggling around by Marcos caused his IV to come out, so they left it out…meaning he is on full feed of milk, enriched with a little more fat and some vitamins.
4. Visited the obstetrician who was pleased with the healing of the incision from the cesarean. She is free to take showers, and when she came home, she spent what seemed like an hour catching up on a month of lost showers. Marcos had to get used to a new smell.
5. In the morning, after holding Marcos for an hour, I (Aida) put him back in his plastic hut and saw a tiny tear appear and slip away as he stared in the distance. He only lay there, quiet, and crying, and I began to cry too.

Un dia ocupado..
1. Aída tuvo la oportunidad de hacer terapia de canguro hoy ¡dos veces!. A Marcos le fue bastante bien las dos veces.
2Le quitaron el tubo de respiración y lo colocaron de nuevo en el CPAP.
3Como Marcos ha estado muy activo la intravenosa que tenia en su mano derecha se salio, y los médicos decidieron dejarlo así, ya que esta recibiendo 11.5 ml de leche cada dos horas y para complementar lo que le adicionan por la IV le ponen vitaminas a la leche.
4. Fuimos a ver a la gineco-obstetra y le gusto mucho ver que la herida de Aída había sanado bien. Ahora ella puede bañarse de nuevo, así que cuando volvió a casa se dio una ducha que al parecer duro como una hora. Era de esperarse después de un mes sin ducharse. Marcos tuvo que acostumbrarse al nuevo olor.
5. En la mañana, cuando tuvimos que volver a colocar a Marcos en su casa de plástico, me quede mirándolo (Aída) y tenia una lagrima saliendo de su ojito. No había gritado, ni nada solo se le salieron las lágrimas y a mi también.
