Meal Time/ A comer!

Marcos continues to handle the increasing amount of milk being fed every two hours. Today he was up to 5 ml of the delicious white stuff that dripped slowly into his tiny stomach. This evening they let him try some fresh milk that Aida had just pumped in the hospital, as well as putting some milk on a q-tip in his mouth. He wasn’t sure if it was good or not after it was all done. I think sucking on the plastic tube in his mouth has numbed his senses. It was at least a nice change compared to the struggle he had in the morning after a diaper change.

We continue to be overcome by the kindness and thoughtfulness shown to us by our many friends, especially for the meals that they continue to bring us. The sense of community is incredible!

Marcos sigue manejando el incremento de leche que le están dando cada dos horas. Hoy llego hasta 5 ml del delicioso liquido blanco que baja a su estomago por un tubito. En la noche le dieron a probar un poquito de la leche fresca, que Aída acabada de sacar ahí en el hospital. Le pusieron un copito mojado de leche fresca en su boquita. El no sabía si eso le gustaba o no, al fin y al cabo es lo primero que prueba, además del tubo de respiración. Ese fue un buen cambio, comparado con la difícil mañana que tuvo.

Nosotros seguimos maravillados y agradecidos con el carino que nos sigan demonstrando nuestros amigos, especialmente por toda la comida que nos siguen trayendo. El sentido de comunidad es increible!
