Marcos sigue avanzando en su recuperación. Hoy redujeron la presión en el respirador que tiene de 5 a 4, lo cual significa que esta trabajando más con sus pulmoncitos. Según lo que nos dijo una de las enfermeras, el paso siguiente es dejarlo sólo con un tubito que entra a sus fosas nasales y manda algo de oxigeno, pero Marcos hace todo el trabajo.
En la mañana de hoy no nos fue tan bien con la terapia canguro, ya que a Marcos se le bajo la nivel oxigeno en la sangre, aunque estaba placidamente dormido en mis brazos (Aída) tuve que devolverlo a su camita, después de 30 minutos de estar juntitos. Eso me puso triste, pero lo importante es que él este bien. En la noche ya pudo disfrutar más de 2 horas en brazos de papá.
Marcos continues to advance in his recuperation. Today the pressure on the C-PAP was reduced from 5 to 4, meaning his lungs are doing more of the work they are supposed to do. According to one of the nurses, the next step will be the nasal prongs which only add some oxygen and the rest of the work is up to Marcos.
This morning the kangaroo therapy didn’t go that well. Marcos was in my (Aida’s) arms when his blood oxygen level dropped quite low, even though he was deeply sleeping. Having to return him to the incubator after just 30 minutes together made me sad, but the most important is that he is alright. This evening he enjoyed spending over 2 hours in Alden’s arms.
