This past weekend we received a beautiful shawl from the Prayer Shawl Ministry of St. Paul’s Parish on Point Road. This evening we placed the shawl over Marcos (see picture) and reflected on the many thoughts and prayers interwoven in the numerous threads. The card we received with the shawl said the following –
Dear Alden, Aida and Marcos:
This shawl was made especially for you.
It is a gift from the people of St. Paul’s.
The crafter prayed for you while making it. When your shawl was completed, the members of the Prayer Shawl ministry gathered in a circle and blessed it. May you find comfort and solace as you wear it. May it encircle you in God’s love and peace.

To the wonderful people from St. Paul’s, thank you for this wonderful gift that is yet another reminder of the many hands holding up Marcos.
Today Marcos attempted to drink milk directly from the natural source. For him it all seemed new and entertaining, but he didn’t understand what he was really supposed to do – start sucking. But, it will happen, and for now the best is to become familiar with the new environment.
El fin de semana pasado recibimos un chal muy bonito de parte del grupo Ministerio Chal de Oración de la iglesia St Paul’s Parish en Point Road. Esta noche pudimos colocar el chal sobre Marcos y reflejar todos los pensamientos y oraciones que se fueron tejiendo en la medida en que se tejía el chal. La tarjeta que recibimos junto con el chal decía lo siguiente:
Queridos Alden, Aída y Marcos:
Este chal fue hecho especialmente para ustedes.
Es un regalo de la gente de St. Paul’s
Los tejedores oraron mientras tejían el chal. Cuando el chal fue terminado, los miembros del Ministerio Chal de Oración se reunieron en un círculo y bendijeron el chal. Esperamos que puedan encontrar la comodidad y el consuelo mientras lo usan, así como el amor y la paz de Dios.
Bendiciones.
A la gente maravillosa de St. Paul’s les decimos gracias por tan maravilloso regalo, el cual nuevamente nos recuerda la cantidad de manos que siguen sosteniendo a Marcos.
Hoy Marcos estuvo tratando de tomar leche directo del empaque natural (mamá). Para él todo pareció ser muy entretenido y novedoso, aunque no entendía bien que era lo que se suponía que él debía hacer (chupar)… bueno ya sucederá, por ahora lo importante es que se vaya familiarizando con todo el asunto.
